Civil Engineering Department Manager

Orbital LLC is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Department Manager to lead our Civil Engineering Projects for our Utility Division in our Hammond, IN, office. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical and project execution oversight for various projects, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Civil Engineering Projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support to ensure project success.
- Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, sales, and marketing, to identify new business opportunities and grow our client base.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
- Master's degree, Project Management Training, and/or PMP Certification are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
