Overview:


Scott & Crosby Staffing, Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee financial operations, particularly focusing on grant fund oversight and financial documentation.

The successful candidate will be integral in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the organization's mission to enhance community development.


Key Responsibilities:

Grant Fund Oversight:
Manage both public and private grant resources.
Prepare essential documentation for grant reimbursements, as well as quarterly and annual financial statements.
Record and monitor all incoming checks and deposits from grant providers.

Financial Documentation:
Generate detailed budget-to-actual reports for all grant accounts.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, General Ledger, and Trial Balance.

Support external audit processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Accounting Functions:
Accurately prepare and post journal entries to maintain precise financial records.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in non-profit or governmental sectors.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work on-site during standard business hours.
Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or CPA certification
Experience with Accufund software

Skills and Attributes:
Strong knowledge of grant fund management and compliance regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
