The Director of Business Development at SelectOne is a key role that reports directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for driving sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and managing client relationships to expand the company's reach.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, markets, and partnerships that can help SelectOne grow.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients while focusing on developing new ones.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and achieve business goals.
  • Perform market analysis to stay up-to-date on trends and competitors.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts to close deals.
  • Collaborate with the executive team, vendor managers, and other team members to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
  • Understanding of retail and eCommerce, with experience in wholesale or distribution being a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
