The Logistics Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing and directing daily operations within the manufacturing facility during their designated shift. This role is crucial in ensuring that all operational processes function seamlessly in a continuous environment while collaborating with shift leaders.

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is pivotal in workforce management, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring smooth handovers between shifts.


Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate and execute logistics strategies that align with the manufacturing facility's objectives.

• Enhance the supply chain, focusing on procurement, inventory oversight, and warehousing within the facility.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the logistics team for the assigned shift, ensuring effective transitions and operational continuity in a 24/7 environment.

• Promote a collaborative and results-driven workplace culture.

• Supervise daily logistics activities and report directly to the General Manager, and clients as needed.

• Guarantee timely and precise delivery of materials to meet production schedules.

• Manage inventory levels to optimize costs while fulfilling production requirements.

• Ensure all operational activities are conducted efficiently and safely during the shift.

• Assess and monitor team performance to maintain operations above standard benchmarks.

• Oversee warehouse personnel, including training, task assignment, scheduling, and performance management, while adhering to company policies.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations through regular audits and by fostering a culture of safety awareness.

• Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing preventive measures to mitigate future risks.

• Identify and initiate continuous improvement projects, providing insights to the General Manager.

• Collaborate closely with the client’s production and procurement teams to ensure efficient logistics operations, remaining adaptable in a dynamic environment.

• Maintain proactive communication with clients to establish production plans and objectives.

• Achieve warehouse and organizational goals by completing related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in third-party logistics or plant warehousing operations.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large teams and complex logistics operations.

• Highly organized with the capability to oversee multiple teams while maintaining attention to detail.

• Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with effective communication capabilities.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency.

• Strong work ethic and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Travel Requirements:
• Up to 10% travel within the U.S.

Working Conditions:
• This role is primarily based in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and may require shift changes.

• May involve working outside regular business hours to meet operational deadlines or address issues.
