Logistics Operations Leader

Position Overview:

The Logistics Operations Leader is tasked with overseeing and motivating the workforce within the CJ Logistics facility to meet operational efficiency targets. This role involves managing a team during shifts, focusing on coaching and guiding employees to safely and effectively reach production and quality benchmarks. Collaboration with various teams within CJ Logistics is essential for the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and best practices.

Compensation Range: $54,000 - $65,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster Team Engagement
  • Inspire and motivate team members
  • Conduct daily briefings for the shift
  • Address and resolve employee concerns
  • Regularly communicate objectives and outcomes to the team
  • Lead site activities and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives
  • Organize monthly safety discussions with the safety committee
  • Participate in management meetings and employee feedback sessions
  • Achieve Operational Performance (including Productivity and Efficiency Goals)
  • Understand and relay shift, customer, and logistics center objectives
  • Execute daily operational plans by adjusting workflows as necessary
  • Implement CJ Logistics' Labor Management Program (performance assessments)
  • Assist in conducting inventory and quality audits
  • Provide insights on staffing requirements to senior management
  • Collaborate with leadership on supply ordering and maintenance schedules
  • Manage Employee Performance (including Safety, Quality, and Productivity)
  • Offer coaching through performance observations and feedback
  • Monitor and report on Forklift Operators' performance
  • Conduct safety assessments and engage in the Safety Committee
  • Oversee employee attendance, time management, and payroll
  • Ensure Adoption of Best Practices
  • Shadow Forklift Operators to enhance understanding
  • Identify training and cross-training opportunities
  • Provide on-the-job training for Forklift Operators
  • Conduct process quality checks and manage programs

Connect employees to customer business objectives:

  • Communicate specific customer requirements
  • Evaluate logistics center performance against customer standards
  • Help Forklift Operators feel aligned with broader customer goals

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bilingual in Korean and English
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • A strong emphasis on safety practices

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of warehousing operations in distribution or manufacturing settings
  • Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, such as Red Prairie WMS, is advantageous
