PRIMARY ROLE

The primary responsibilities include overseeing the management of overdue accounts, conducting credit assessments, and identifying potential credit risks. Collaborating with clients regarding payment schedules and deductions is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess overdue accounts and determine appropriate collection strategies.
  • Issue customer statements, aging reports, and reminders for collection purposes.
  • Utilize customer portals for invoice processing, payment tracking, and deduction inquiries.
  • Analyze account balances for collection recommendations and write-offs.
  • Maintain customer accounts by resolving deductions, managing invoices, and following up on outstanding items.
  • Submit inquiries to customer service for dispute resolution.
  • Monitor orders on credit hold on an hourly basis.
  • Verify accuracy of significant customer purchase orders.
  • Conduct credit evaluations for potential new clients and existing customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes, generating reports, conducting analyses, and providing insights.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years in accounts receivable, credit, and collections.

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
  • Familiarity with standard credit and collection practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing time effectively.
  • Capability to meet deadlines amidst regular interruptions.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels, including customers, colleagues, and management.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Comfortable navigating the internet for freight carrier sites and customer portals.
  • Adept at processing data and generating formatted reports.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, is a plus.
