CHILD ABUSE PEDIATRICIAN OPPORTUNITY AT AKRON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

We are in search of a full-time Child Abuse Pediatrician to become part of our Children at Risk Evaluation (CARE) Center. The ideal candidate should be board-certified or board-eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics, or a board-certified General Pediatrician with relevant experience in child abuse and neglect.

The CARE Center is dedicated to evaluating and initiating treatment for children suspected of experiencing physical or sexual abuse and neglect. Our specialized team, consisting of physicians, nurses, and social workers, is focused on assessing children and adolescents referred by various entities, including private practitioners, law enforcement, child protection services, and community organizations. Additionally, we provide consultative services for suspected child maltreatment cases admitted to our inpatient facilities. We are proud to be an accredited Child Advocacy Center (CAC) recognized by the National Children's Alliance.

THIS POSITION IS A 501(C)(3) SITE, ELIGIBLE FOR PUBLIC SERVICE LOAN FORGIVENESS THROUGH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
