CLIENT INTAKE COORDINATOR

Child Guidance & Family Solutions is seeking a skilled Client Intake Coordinator to become a valuable member of our compassionate team.

The Client Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for addressing inquiries from individuals or guardians about treatment requests, managing referrals from external sources, and organizing initial appointments for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the first point of contact for new clients, completing the client registration process within our electronic health record system.
  • Confirms insurance coverage to facilitate scheduling with the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Collaborates with the internal clinical team to direct clients to additional community resources when necessary, and offers emergency recommendations for non-clients.
  • Tracks available intake slots and ensures adherence to established wait time standards.
  • Possesses the ability to consult as needed during crisis situations that may arise during intake calls.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of professional office experience, with a preference for strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Experience in a mental health environment is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work setting.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to listen and respond to challenging client situations with empathy and appropriate boundaries.
