We are on the lookout for a Vice President of Regional Enterprise Sales who possesses exceptional energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to spearheading new business development outside of SLED sectors. This role is pivotal in strategizing and executing plans for the region to ensure alignment with our overarching organizational objectives. The Vice President will oversee the Eastern region and will be instrumental in driving Verkada's ambitious growth targets.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and take full responsibility for all booking growth in the Northeast and Canada.
  • Allocate a minimum of 50% of your time to field-based sales initiatives, including client meetings, site evaluations, and relationship cultivation. Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Directors and Enterprise Account Executives to establish a comprehensive field sales strategy.
  • Guide a team of Regional Sales Directors and Enterprise Account Executives in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, managing sales pipelines, executing account strategies, and fostering customer growth.
  • Develop and implement a focused plan to optimize revenue and expansion across the region.
  • Oversee all facets of the sales process to ensure achievement of key performance indicators and quotas, with a strong focus on acquiring new business. This includes outreach to potential SLED opportunities, conducting product demonstrations, facilitating trials, and engaging in strategic negotiations with clients and channel partners.
  • Establish a partner ecosystem and collaborate closely with partners to enhance cooperation and create new opportunities.
  • Work in concert with Enterprise Development, Sales Engineering, Channel Development, and Verkada's partners to exceed revenue targets.
  • Provide a hands-on approach to account strategy and execution.
  • Ensure accurate team forecasting that aligns with expectations from Executive Leadership.
  • Engage in strategic and tactical planning for the region and serve as a key member of Verkada's Enterprise Leadership team.
  • Conduct weekly forecasting meetings with direct reports and promote the development of Regional Sales Directors through regular one-on-one sessions focused on delegation, pipeline evaluation, regional strategy, and performance management.
  • Play a vital role in the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of Regional Sales Directors and Enterprise Account Executives, supported by our internal recruiting and enablement teams.
Your Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years as a second-line sales leader in a technology-driven sales environment; at least 3 years managing a high-performing enterprise sales team focused on complex technical solutions, with a proven track record in establishing new business in greenfield territories.
  • Customer-centric with extensive experience in developing relationships within Non-SLED accounts such as retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitals.
  • Experience managing lengthy, intricate sales cycles, including navigating the complexities of multiple decision-makers.
  • Experience collaborating with an internal channel partner team to drive sales through and with channel partners is advantageous.
  • Willingness to actively engage with Enterprise Account Executives, participating in their sales efforts and maintaining a strong field presence alongside them.
  • Relevant experience in software or hardware industries, particularly in security solutions, computer networking, or cloud-based software, is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and application of MEDDIC methodology is highly preferred.
  • Intellectually curious with high emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

Compensation Disclosure

At Verkada, we strive to attract and retain top talent, compensating them in a manner that fairly reflects their contributions to the company. We consider various factors when determining starting pay, including work location, candidate skills and experience, market demands, and internal equity. This estimate may vary based on these factors, and the actual starting annual base salary may fall above or below this range. This estimate is one component of Verkada's total rewards package, which may also include additional compensation forms such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Estimated Annual Pay Range: $330,000-$380,000 USD
