Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management:

    • Formulate and execute engineering strategies that align with the overarching business objectives.

  • Technical Oversight:
    • Supervise all engineering initiatives and projects, ensuring timely completion within defined scope and budget.
    • Guarantee adherence to best practices and industry standards within the engineering team.
    • Steer architectural and technical decisions for product development.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to outline the technical roadmap.
    • Assess and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
    • Manage engineering budgets, encompassing staffing, tools, and technology investments.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Articulate technical concepts and project updates to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Work closely with various departments, including Product, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and support for engineering initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement rigorous testing, code reviews, and quality assurance protocols.
    • Maintain high standards for code quality, security, and performance.
  • Recruitment & Retention:
    • Lead efforts to attract top engineering talent.
    • Develop strategies to retain key personnel within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth setting.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and trends.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making and analytics.
  • Strategic mindset with a forward-looking vision for engineering and technology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
