Position Overview
Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences is in search of a skilled Assembly Technician to engage in a variety of manufacturing processes aimed at creating a final product for our clientele. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute a diverse array of production tasks, including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and the complete assembly of units.
  • Assemble parts at designated stations as needed.
  • Verify that the dimensions of assigned products conform to specified product standards.
  • Conduct functional testing as part of production duties and quality assurance evaluations.
  • Calibrate and test components and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to assemble units according to established product guidelines.
  • Identify and rectify units that do not meet testing or tolerance criteria.
  • Assist engineering and design teams with the design, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics.
  • Adjust mechanical assemblies using precision tools and techniques as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Proficient in working from charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal instructions.
  • Adept at understanding and interpreting technical manuals, prints, and MPIs.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrated capacity to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous vocational training is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • This position will involve mostly controlled internal environmental conditions, with potential variations in temperature and noise typical of a warehouse setting.
  • Work may require prolonged standing, sitting, and frequent walking in areas such as warehouses, assembly lines, or machine shops, while navigating common hazards.
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk is essential.
  • Weekend and overtime work may be necessary.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
