Position Overview
Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to execute a variety of manufacturing processes to create a finished product for our clientele. This role demands a keen eye for detail, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a diverse array of production tasks, including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and the assembly of complete units.
  • Assemble parts at designated stations as required.
  • Verify that the dimensions of assigned products align with product specifications.
  • Engage in functional testing as part of production activities and quality assurance evaluations.
  • Calibrate and test components and mechanisms to ensure they meet tolerances and specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
  • Identify and rectify units that do not meet testing or tolerance standards.
  • Assist the engineering and design teams with the design, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics.
  • May adjust mechanical assemblies using precision tools and techniques.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to interpret charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of MPIs, prints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous vocational training is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • This position may involve exposure to varying internal environmental conditions, including temperature changes and noise levels typical of a warehouse setting.
  • Work may require prolonged standing, sitting, and frequent walking in areas such as warehouses, assembly lines, or machine shops, while navigating common hazards.
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must possess the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
  • Weekend and overtime work may be necessary.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
