Production Assembler

Position Overview
As a key member of the manufacturing team, the Assembler is responsible for constructing metal or plastic products, either partially or fully, while working at a workstation or on the production floor.
Work Environment
Due to varying order volumes, employees may be reassigned across different departments, job roles, or shifts as deemed necessary by management.
Communication Skills
Effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and management is essential.
Supervision
This role operates under the direct supervision of the Department Supervisor.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, although not mandatory.
Training and Skills
No specialized training is required for this position.
Experience
Three to six months of relevant experience or training is preferred.
Travel Requirements
No travel is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Position components based on knowledge of the assembly unit.
- Secure parts using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Utilize hand tools to trim small amounts of metal or plastic for precise fitting.
- Operate machinery such as drill presses and riveting machines to facilitate assembly.
- Monitor machine operations to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Conduct minor maintenance on machines, including lubrication and clearing obstructions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Package items accurately and label them with necessary information.
- Notify supervisors regarding quality issues or machine adjustments.
- Work overtime as needed and maintain a clean workspace.
- Report safety concerns and adhere to company policies.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for handling materials. Employees may need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Conditions
Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasional fumes or airborne particles. Hearing protection may be necessary in certain areas.
