Position Overview
Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences is seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to engage in various production tasks aimed at creating high-quality finished products for our clientele. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute a variety of production tasks, including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and complete unit assembly.
  • Assemble components at designated workstations as needed.
  • Verify that the dimensions of assigned products conform to specified standards.
  • Conduct functional testing as part of production and quality assurance protocols.
  • Calibrate and test components and mechanisms to ensure they meet established tolerances and specifications.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to assemble units in accordance with product guidelines.
  • Identify and rectify units that do not meet testing or tolerance criteria.
  • Assist engineering and design teams with the design, testing, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electromechanical systems.
  • Interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics accurately.
  • Adjust mechanical assemblies using precision tools and techniques as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to interpret charts, diagrams, drafts, or verbal/written instructions.
  • Familiarity with MPIs, technical prints, and manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous vocational training is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • This position may involve exposure to varying internal environmental conditions, including temperature changes and noise levels typical of a warehouse setting.
  • Work may require prolonged standing, sitting, and frequent walking in areas such as warehouses, assembly lines, or machine shops, while navigating common hazards.
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must possess the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
  • Weekend and overtime work may be necessary.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
