Production Assembler

POSITION SUMMARY
Assembles metal or plastic components, either partially or fully, while working at a workstation or on the production floor by executing the following responsibilities.
WORKPLACE FLEXIBILITY
Due to variations in production demands, employees may be reassigned across different departments, roles, or shifts as determined by management.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and management is essential.
SUPERVISION
This position operates under the direct supervision of the Department Supervisor.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred.
TRAINING AND SKILLS
No specialized training is required.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred experience includes three to six months in a related field.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
No travel is necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Position components based on knowledge of the assembly unit.
- Secure parts using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Utilize hand tools to refine metal or plastic for precise fitting between components.
- Operate machinery such as drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to facilitate assembly.
- Monitor machine operations to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Conduct minor maintenance on machinery, including lubrication and clearing obstructions.
- Inspect assembled products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Package items appropriately, ensuring correct labeling with necessary information.
- Notify supervisors regarding quality issues or machine adjustments.
- Maintain a clean workspace and report safety concerns.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typically moderate, with hearing protection required in certain areas.
