Job Overview

Position Summary
This role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of marketing for the organization. The individual will lead the marketing team, foster positive relationships with clients and referral sources, address customer inquiries, and negotiate service agreements with various stakeholders including managed care organizations and government entities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily marketing functions, ensuring the successful execution of marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to marketing practices and patient engagement.
  • Maximize reimbursement from third-party payers through effective contract negotiations.
  • Assist in the development of annual budget projections and manage resource allocation for the marketing department.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to create a robust marketing plan aligned with budgetary goals.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to achieve set volume targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential referral sources.
  • Negotiate pricing with insurance case managers and other payers within established guidelines.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the marketing team.
  • Enhance community and customer perceptions of Applied Palliative and Hospice Services as a premier service provider.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to identify opportunities for service enhancements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of market dynamics, including competitor positioning and key referral sources.
  • Share marketing insights with relevant personnel to foster organizational knowledge.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources when services are not provided by the organization.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare marketing management, ideally within hospice care.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage professional and administrative teams.
  • Strong marketing acumen with the ability to engage effectively with clients and the community.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, organizational skills, adaptability, and teamwork in fulfilling job responsibilities.
