Job Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION
This role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of marketing for the organization. The individual will lead the marketing team, foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral sources, address customer inquiries and issues, and negotiate service agreements with various payers including managed care organizations and government entities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily marketing operations, ensuring the effective implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations concerning marketing practices and patient engagement.
  • Maximize reimbursement from third-party payers through strategic negotiation of service contracts.
  • Assist in the development of annual budget projections and resource allocation for the marketing department.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to create a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with financial goals.
  • Implement promotional activities to achieve targeted volume metrics.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with existing and potential referral sources and payers.
  • Negotiate pricing structures with insurance case managers and other payers within established financial guidelines.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the marketing team effectively.
  • Enhance community perception of Applied Palliative and Hospice Services as a premier service provider.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to identify opportunities for service enhancements based on customer needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the market landscape, including key competitors and payer groups.
  • Share marketing insights and knowledge with relevant personnel within the organization.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources when services are not provided by the organization.
  • Evaluate and report on the cost-effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare marketing management, ideally within hospice care.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage professional and administrative staff.
  • Strong marketing acumen with the ability to engage effectively with clients and the community.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, organizational skills, adaptability, and teamwork in fulfilling job responsibilities.
