Human Resources Advisor

Position Summary
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, a prestigious institution recognized for its excellence in training healthcare professionals, is looking for a dedicated HR Consultant. This role is essential in providing comprehensive human resources support for the College of Medicine and UC Physicians, Inc. The successful candidate will focus on delivering exceptional service, fostering effective communication, and promoting teamwork while developing standardized HR processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Human Resources, offering insights into best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to comprehend their operational needs and how they relate to HR functions. Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management.
- Develop and implement HR processes, procedures, and documentation for the College of Medicine and UC Physicians.
- Work closely with department leaders to identify recruitment needs, manage the hiring process, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Oversee initial faculty appointments and manage the onboarding and exit processes for faculty and clinical staff, including visa applications for international hires.
- Provide benefits information to staff and faculty, addressing inquiries and generating reports related to recruitment and retention.
- Make recommendations regarding compensation adjustments based on thorough analysis of compensation data.
- Advise employees on leave policies and collaborate with administrators to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Assist departments with terminations and workforce reductions as necessary.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling HR-related documents, ensuring compliance with retention schedules.
- Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs. This job description is subject to change.
Qualifications
HR Consultant
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent specialized training.
Required Experience
HR Consultant
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources is required.
Work Environment
- Standard office environment with no unusual physical demands.
