The Human Resources Specialist will oversee various functions related to employee engagement, training initiatives, performance evaluation, onboarding processes, policy enforcement, recruitment strategies, affirmative action compliance, and adherence to employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay informed about legal standards and governmental reporting requirements that impact human resources operations, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.
- Conduct recruitment activities including interviewing, testing, and selecting candidates to fill open positions.
- Organize and facilitate new employee orientation programs to promote a positive outlook towards organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel actions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance assessments, and terminations for compliance reporting.
- Manage leave administration for assigned locations.
- Provide guidance to management on the effective resolution of employee relations challenges.
- Address inquiries related to policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Prepare documentation for employee separations and conduct exit interviews to understand the reasons for departures.
- Generate monthly reports for the department.
- Develop human resources strategies by gathering and analyzing data, and proposing actionable recommendations.
- Enhance employee and managerial performance by identifying issues, evaluating potential solutions, implementing chosen strategies, and providing coaching.
- Complete special projects by defining objectives, establishing timelines, conducting research, organizing information, and executing necessary actions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating project updates and addressing concerns, while analyzing time and cost implications.
- Compile reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends.
- Safeguard the organization's integrity by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver's license may be required, along with compliance with SBM Driver Approval standards.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
Shift: Regular Business Hours, including nights and weekends
