The Human Resources Specialist will oversee various functions related to employee engagement, training initiatives, performance assessment, onboarding processes, policy enforcement, talent acquisition, affirmative action, and adherence to employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay informed about legal obligations and government reporting standards that impact human resources operations, ensuring that policies and procedures align with compliance requirements.
- Conduct recruitment activities including interviewing, testing, and selecting candidates for open positions.
- Organize and facilitate orientation programs for new hires to promote a positive outlook towards organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, and terminations for compliance reporting.
- Manage leave administration processes for assigned locations.
- Provide guidance to management on resolving employee relations challenges.
- Address inquiries related to policies, procedures, and programs.
- Prepare documentation for employee separations and conduct exit interviews to understand the reasons for departures.
- Generate monthly reports for the department.
- Develop human resources strategies by gathering and analyzing data, and recommending actionable solutions.
- Enhance performance of managers and employees by identifying issues, evaluating potential solutions, and implementing chosen strategies; provide coaching and support.
- Complete special projects by defining objectives, establishing timelines, conducting research, organizing information, and executing tasks.
- Manage client expectations by communicating project updates and addressing concerns; analyze time and cost factors.
- Compile reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends.
- Safeguard the organization's integrity by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver's license may be required, along with compliance with SBM Driver Approval standards.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
Shift: Regular Business Hours, including potential nights and weekends
