Position Title: Engineering Program Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Engineering

Position Overview: Roskam Baking is a prominent player in the baking industry, dedicated to partnering with renowned brands and service providers to deliver a wide array of baked goods. Key Responsibilities:

The Engineering Program Coordinator will oversee various aspects of project management, ensuring effective integration of project components, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, resource allocation, communication, risk assessment, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. The Coordinator will be instrumental in guiding projects from conception through to completion, delivering tangible benefits to the organization and its stakeholders.

Key duties include:
  • Project Ideation: Gathering and evaluating project proposals aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and facilitating the approval process.
  • Project Execution: Ensuring the successful implementation of approved initiatives, adhering to established timelines and budgetary constraints while effectively managing risks and maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical Support: Offering engineering-related expertise to projects, serving as a liaison among contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Implementation Support: Assisting the construction and installation teams during project execution and acting as the startup manager during the commissioning phase.
  • Comprehensive Project Management: Defining project scope, tasks, and deliverables, leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets and resources, monitoring progress, communicating project status, and continuously refining project management methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Food Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in leading complex engineering initiatives and cross-functional teams.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical acumen in process engineering, packaging technology, and facilities engineering, along with familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the baking industry, including production methodologies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards.
  • Proficiency in overseeing the implementation of technical solutions related to production processes and packaging.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proven track record of guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions promptly.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
