This role operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring on-site presence three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), with optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
As the leader of engineering initiatives, you will enhance departmental efficiency and collaborate across functions to ensure seamless coordination of metrics, dashboards, and strategic initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the development and management of engineering and technology projects.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Ensuring project delivery aligns with initial cost estimates.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and integration of new product introductions (NPI) and requisition projects, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Leading teams with direct management responsibilities, including staffing and performance development.
- Applying your technical expertise and analytical skills to implement policies and strategies effectively.
- Understanding best practices and how your area integrates with others while being aware of competitive differentiators.
- Utilizing judgment to propose innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
- Acting as a mentor for less experienced colleagues.
- Facilitating discussions to achieve consensus among team members.
- Communicating performance expectations and addressing sensitive issues.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Systems or Software engineering.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
- This role requires U.S. citizenship due to the use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions.
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to analyze and resolve issues.
- Strong project management capabilities, including documentation, planning, and execution.
