Position Title: Retail Associate - Part Time

Job Type: Part-time

Overview: In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey in the store.
  • Handling transactions efficiently using point of sale systems for purchases, exchanges, and returns.
  • Assisting in maintaining a tidy and professional store environment.
  • Working approximately 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively address customer inquiries and challenges to enhance their retail experience.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting store events and displays.
  • Ensure a welcoming and secure shopping environment.
  • Respond to incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Collaborate with team members across the store and warehouse.
  • Restock merchandise and assist with inventory tasks.
  • Cross-train in warehouse duties, including propane filling and material handling.

Work Environment: This position involves both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, catering to customer needs during deliveries and pickups. The work schedule will vary from Monday to Saturday, including potential shifts for opening, closing, and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • No specific educational requirements or prior experience necessary.
  • Preferred: Six months of experience in a retail setting with customer service and point of sale operations.

  • A desire to learn and collaborate across different areas of the cooperative.
