Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing on-site consulting and support to medical professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal use of our IGS products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert consulting and assistance to physicians and operating room staff, evaluating options and resolving issues to enhance product performance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of product-related challenges, leveraging engineering expertise.
  • Guide Radiology personnel in executing essential scans prior to surgical interventions.
  • Educate and train medical staff, including OR teams and Biomedical personnel, on the effective use of IGS products and services.
  • Design and implement training programs for hospital staff to facilitate in-house education.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customers, maintaining communication to assess satisfaction and promote additional sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Senior Application Consultants and Account Managers, on market initiatives and research projects.
  • Utilize engineering insights to recommend product enhancements as part of the quality improvement process.
  • Participate in industry meetings and trade shows to showcase IGS products and services.
  • Stay informed about developments in Brainlab and competitor offerings through continuous training and research.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in technical support by adhering to established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Assist with on-site network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform advanced technical diagnostics, including audio, video, and network signal analysis to resolve complex system issues.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with enterprise-level server, network, or virtualization infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to execute complex tasks efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical proficiency in analog and digital electronic technologies related to audiovisual systems, including video conferencing solutions.
  • Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, and electronic health record workflows is advantageous.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support capacity, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of making independent decisions.
