POSITION OVERVIEW:
Deliver technical, educational, operational, and sales assistance to help the district achieve Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) sales and customer service goals.
CRM seeks individuals who will fulfill our customer expectations by striving relentlessly for the utmost reliability and quality in our products, processes, and systems through accountability, having a voice, and taking initiative.
Clinical Consultants are expected to be present in their designated territory daily to address unscheduled needs as they arise. They are also required to work several weekends and holidays as determined by local management.Evening call coverage is primarily the responsibility of the Sales Representative; however, at times, business and/or geographical needs may necessitate a Consultant to be scheduled for evening coverage as approved by regional management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support
Successfully complete CRM Field Technical Training, including both online and field-based training.
Conduct checks/interrogations of all CRM medical device systems post sign-off.
Assist with the implantation of all CRM products post sign-off.
Provide on-call support as required during evenings and weekends post sign-off.
Offer troubleshooting assistance as requested.
Operational Support
Ensure completion of patient registration and any other necessary hospital documentation.
Help manage consignment inventory and trunk inventory once obtained.
Provide additional inventory support to meet customer requirements.
Maintain software on programmers throughout the district as directed.
Assist with managing daily coverage logistics as needed.
Educational Support
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products or solutions for which training has been completed.
Assist in educating and training new Clinical Consultants and Sales Representatives post sign-off.
Sales Support
Collaborate with DSM, Sales Representatives, and DM to understand market dynamics and local customer motivations and needs; possess a basic understanding of how MDU Medtronic USA Inc products and solutions provide value to the customer.
Have a basic understanding of the competitive landscape.
Independently identify customer needs and opportunities and provide feedback to Sales Representatives to support sales objectives.
Ongoing Technical Development
Stay informed about new products, solutions, and patient management offerings.
Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, the following basic qualifications must be evident on your resume:
High School Diploma PLUS a minimum of 8 years of work experience in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company -OR- Associate degree PLUS a minimum total of 6 years of work experience in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company -OR- Bachelor's Degree PLUS a minimum of 4 years of work experience in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Comprehensive working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels.
Strong work ethic in achieving the objectives of the position.
Proficiency with Microsoft tools and other applications.
Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and participate in multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
Must possess a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. Additionally, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
Travel Requirements:
Minimum travel of 10%.
