Job Title: Capture Manager

NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Capture Manager to join our team in the government sector. As a key member of our collaborative team, you will play a crucial role in strategizing and coordinating opportunity pursuits to elevate our brand and solutions above the competition.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Business Development and Business Unit teams to understand the scope of the pursuit and contract, providing analysis and strategic recommendations to support a win.
  • Identify and assemble required resources and skills to develop proposals, pursue, and win large deals.
  • Lead and coordinate pursuit team efforts, assisting in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
  • Validate and endorse technical solutions, working with delivery teams to ensure proper solution design and delivery.
  • Develop and substantiate a winning value proposition, analyzing critical business drivers and risks.
  • Support the end-to-end capture and contracting process, including CRs, DRs, BAFO, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to create targeted sales and marketing plans to increase account performance in identified growth potential accounts.
  • Develop customer relationships and expand existing ones.
  • Optimize win probability through messaging, communications, and activities.
  • Identify technical solutions and establish partnership and teaming relationships.
  • Create win themes and contribute to bids and proposals.
  • Assess and quantify risk for major projects and programs.
  • Make decisions on teaming and program staffing resource planning.
  • Represent the organization to other businesses and external customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing direction and guidance on process improvements and capture and proposal policies.
Requirements:
  • Business and financial understanding and expertise.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Leadership skills in directing pursuit and/or delivery teams.
  • Highly developed consultative approach, solution selling, and business development skills.
  • Ability to act as an executive sponsor for a project.
  • Business and customer-oriented team player with ability to form alliances across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven program management skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills at a Senior Management level.
  • Ability to cope with high peak workloads, occasional travel, short deadlines, and significant pressure.
  • Ability to lead matrixed resources in distributed geographies and time zones.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years in Capture Management with a proven process understanding and successful win rate.
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development, including building a winning team, developing a win strategy, supporting PTW, and delivering differentiated bids.
  • Track record of winning single-award deals in US Federal Health & Civilian and SLED within the past 5 years.
  • Based in the DC Metro Area (onsite 2-3 days a week max).
