Job Overview

Xometry, a leading digital manufacturing marketplace, is seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Manager to lead our outbound/new business-focused team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for developing business plans, meeting and exceeding planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a high-performing team focused on outbound prospecting and identifying qualified new business opportunities.
  • Ensure the sales pipeline remains full of qualified leads and prospects, tracking and evaluating activities at each stage from cold calling to closing deals.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to assist reps in winning deals, ensuring seamless coordination to optimize sales development processes and outcomes.
  • Monitor employee productivity and motivate the team to reach daily and monthly KPIs, implementing best practices in sales pipeline development to maintain high team morale and performance.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in Salesforce and HubSpot, utilizing CRM tools to manage and analyze sales activities and pipeline health.
  • Supervise the team in accordance with company policies and procedures, conducting employee interviews, orientations, and hiring of staff, providing ongoing training, coaching, and development to enhance the team's skills and product knowledge.
  • Report to senior management on sales metrics and opportunities, using data-driven insights to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our ideal customers and how they relate to our products, using this knowledge to tailor sales strategies and improve customer engagement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, with at least 1+ years of experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Proven track record in outbound sales and new business development.
  • Experience in planning and implementing aggressive outbound sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of technical sales and manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions and ROI to potential customers.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to train, develop, grow, and lead a sales team to success. Eager and driven to exceed goals.
  • Able to work onsite 3 days a week in our office.
