Human Resources Specialist

Human Resources Specialist sought for a dynamic multi-state organization. This role presents a unique opportunity to advance your career while collaborating closely with the HR Director.
JOB OBJECTIVE
The Human Resources Specialist will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes recruiting and interviewing personnel, managing compensation, benefits, and leave, as well as upholding company policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Employee Engagement: Cultivate positive employee relations by acting as a reliable resource and offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Address employee issues, conduct necessary investigations, and propose suitable resolutions.
• Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing requirements, create job descriptions, and attract high-caliber candidates. Manage the recruitment process, which includes sourcing applicants, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring suggestions. Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
• HR Policies and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure HR policies and practices are compliant. Regularly review and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to align with best practices and legal standards.
• Compensation and Benefits Management: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring accurate data entry, payroll calculations, and timely paycheck distribution. Address payroll discrepancies promptly and collaborate with finance to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance payroll and benefits processes and implement efficiency improvements. Engage in the development and execution of HR policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits administration. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist with a focus on payroll processing and benefits management.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships across all organizational levels.
• Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR policy enforcement.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant industry experience is preferred.
