Position Overview:
As the Human Resources Specialist at THE COLLECTION, you will be instrumental in facilitating our HR operations, ensuring adherence to legal standards, and aiding in the formulation and execution of HR strategies. This role necessitates a comprehensive grasp of recruitment processes, HR fundamentals, effective communication abilities, and a proactive stance on resolving issues. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience, ideally within the automotive sector, demonstrating a successful history in a generalist role with an emphasis on recruitment.
Key Duties:
- Recruitment: Oversee the hiring process for various roles within the organization, collaborating with department heads to outline job specifications, benchmarking salaries, sourcing candidates through diverse channels, conducting interviews, and managing the selection process. You will also handle the complete onboarding procedure for all locations, including preparing and delivering offer letters, initiating pre-employment screenings, and coordinating with new hires for their first-day activities. Close collaboration with the marketing team will be essential to ensure timely updates for monthly communications.
- Employee Relations: Act as a reliable resource for both employees and management, offering guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary measures. Cultivate a positive workplace culture that encourages open dialogue and mutual respect.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific guidelines. Stay informed about legislative changes and proactively address any compliance challenges that may arise.
- HR Administration: Oversee HR administrative functions such as maintaining employee records, assisting in the management of benefits programs, and coordinating training and development efforts. Utilize HRIS and ATS systems to enhance efficiency and maintain accurate records.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Support the organization of team-building events, recognition programs, and feedback surveys to identify areas for enhancement.
- HR Projects: Contribute to HR initiatives focused on improving organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, and employee wellness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement and achieve strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism, demonstrating a high level of integrity.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS, ATS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is advantageous.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing technology and navigating computer systems is essential.
