As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in strategizing, preparing, and delivering high-performance meals tailored to energize our elite athletes, coaching staff, and basketball operations team. Due to the unique demands of this role, candidates must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support our basketball team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, and serve a variety of meals for players, coaches, and basketball operations personnel.
  • Craft meals in accordance with nutritional and culinary standards set by the Executive Chef and Team Dietitian.
  • Contribute to menu creation and ensure responsible sourcing practices are followed.
  • Guide and mentor Junior Sous Chefs, Culinary Interns, and Dishwashing staff in daily kitchen operations, food safety, and inventory management.
  • Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols, including HACCP and production documentation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and data collection projects.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in evidence-based nutrition and culinary trends.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sous chef or junior sous chef in a hotel, high-volume restaurant, contract management, or banquet environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Creativity, open-mindedness, eagerness to learn, and respect for the nutritional needs of athletes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature standards and HACCP.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler and Allergen Awareness certifications.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible, year-round, full-time schedule.
Compensation
  • The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. The compensation package will be determined based on various individualized factors, including the candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
