Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality and integrity of all food produced within the culinary department.
- Manage inventory, procurement, production planning, staffing schedules, payroll, and supplies to maintain budgetary compliance.
- Design innovative menus for the facility's dining services and catering operations that align with current culinary trends.
- Foster a positive atmosphere within the department that promotes team spirit, a passion for quality, and mutual respect.
- Recruit and train new team members effectively to ensure they are well-equipped and enthusiastic about our culinary programs.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited culinary institution is preferred.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in upscale dining establishments, hotels, resorts, or country clubs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ordering systems, and email communication.
- A genuine passion for food, a desire for professional growth, and a strong work ethic.
Skills:
- Ability to set up a culinary action station daily that showcases your culinary skills, creativity, and customer service abilities.
- Proficient knife skills and cutting techniques.
- Experience in recipe costing and forecasting.
- Team-oriented leadership qualities.
