About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our team at Connecticut Innovations. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion for our portfolio company, Cambium Carbon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, builders, and developers.
  • Collaborate with our Supply team to ensure seamless execution of sales processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on the benefits of our sustainable materials.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of sales success, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sustainable wood products or building materials.
  • Knowledge of the architecture and design industry, including specification writing and reading.
  • Strong network of designers, specifiers, manufacturers, and companies that would be interested in our products.
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Hubspot.
