As a Property Tax Consultant, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to uncover tax savings opportunities for our clients while gaining insights into their property tax computations. This role involves conducting thorough research, reconciling data sets, and executing precise calculations. You will assist the team in verifying issues with the taxing authority, ensuring a smooth process. Your contributions will foster positive experiences for team members, enhancing client satisfaction and driving the Firm's revenue and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in researching issues, reconciling databases, and performing detailed calculations.   • Collaborate effectively with clients and tax authorities nationwide.
  • Participate in client meetings and property evaluations.
  • Examine client property tax documentation.
  • Utilize software tools to manage client data efficiently.
  • Investigate tax-related issues.
  • Prepare and assess property reports and submissions.
  • Analyze assessment notifications and identify potential reductions.
  • File appeals as necessary.
  • Evaluate liabilities for development initiatives.
  • Assist clients with tax incentive matters.
  • Engage regularly with team members.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal means.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completion of at least six hours in Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Relevant experience preferred, such as internships or related work.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online research is essential for success in this role.

Licenses:

A valid driver's license is required.

Work Environment:

• Standard indoor office setting.

• Occasional extended periods of sitting while using a computer.

• Regular interaction with colleagues at all levels, both in person and through electronic communication.

• Frequent engagement with clients and external vendors.

• Travel requirements may be up to 10-20%.
