Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of bioanalytical and preclinical lab services within existing accounts and securing new accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process from lead generation through close, including prospecting, networking, cold-calling, meetings, making presentations, following up, and negotiating
  • Identify potential business prospects (leads) in the territory for bioanalysis, DMPK, and translational medicine
  • Home-office based, supporting clients in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US (ideal candidate will live in the Mid-Atlantic area and have established business relationships)
  • Frequent travel (up to 50%), including client sites, QPS facilities, and industry meetings
  • Competitive base salary plus commission and car allowance

Requirements

  • Bioanalysis of proteins, mRNA, and oligonucleotides or pharmaceutical/biotech/bioanalytical preclinical sales experience
  • ≥ 5 years of bioanalysis or sales experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of, and contacts within, the global pharma/biotech industry
  • Strong educational background in the life sciences needed
