About the Role

As a Director of Business Development - Lab Services, you will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of preclinical lab services within existing accounts and securing new accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the Northeast US region. You will work closely with our team to identify areas of growth and align our preclinical offerings with the current trends in drug discovery and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation through close, including prospecting, networking, cold-calling, meetings, making presentations, following up, and negotiating
  • Identify potential business prospects (leads) in the region for Bioanalysis, DMPK, and Translational Medicine
  • Home-office based, supporting clients in the Northeast US (ideal candidate will live in the territory and have established business relationships)
  • Frequent travel (up to 50%), including client sites, QPS facilities, and industry meetings
  • Competitive base salary plus commission and car allowance
Requirements
  • Lab Services or pharmaceutical/biotech preclinical sales or operations experience
  • Knowledge of, and contacts within, the Global Pharma/Biotech industry
  • ≥ 5 years of sales experience, preferred; prior lab experience also helpful
  • Strong educational background in the Life Sciences needed
