Customer Support Specialist (also known as Call Center Representative)

Position Overview

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of telephone inquiries and executing various account transactions. Your role will involve providing information and assistance to both members and potential members regarding the Credit Union's offerings. You will deliver prompt, accurate, and professional service while ensuring the confidentiality and security of member data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently while adapting to changes as they arise.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal oversight.
  • Exhibit patience and professionalism in all customer interactions.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts.
  • Utilize basic computer skills and quickly learn new software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with members over the phone, ensuring excellent service.
  • Provide information regarding the Credit Union's products and services.
  • Assess membership eligibility and process various financial transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve member issues and perform necessary account maintenance.
  • Stay aware of call volumes and meet service requirements set by management.
  • Participate in job-specific training and compliance programs as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual skills are preferred. Previous experience in a financial institution or customer service environment is advantageous. You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines while being detail-oriented and organized.

Education and Experience
