About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned communications professional to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. as a Strategic Communications Director. This role will be focused on supporting the Chief Commercial Officer and the sales team in driving thought leadership and brand recognition, while ensuring that the wider AMD population remains aligned and engaged around the company strategy, values, and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage strong partnerships with C-suite level and senior business/regional leaders to align communications programs across the company.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive external and internal communication strategies in support of thought leadership, brand recognition, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior executives, other communicators, human resources, business function leads, and employees to ensure effective communication across the organization.
  • Manage multiple programs at once in a fast-paced environment and be able to pivot quickly when needed.
Requirements
  • Proven success and capabilities developing and executing strategic external and employee communications plans.
  • Specific knowledge and experience in the semiconductor market is particularly valuable.
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguous issues to create concise messaging and plans.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadline and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and ability to balance confidential information and effective decision making under pressure.
