Position Overview

As a vital member of the court system, the Court Operations Support Specialist will assist in the efficient functioning of court activities under the guidance of a knowledgeable supervisor.

  • Pay Grade: 41
  • Compensation determined by Experience and Education

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative functions, client relations, data management, and various clerical tasks; AND
  • A high school diploma or GED; OR
  • One (1) year of administrative support experience combined with one (1) year of higher education.
  • DOCUMENTATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and maintain the schedule of court cases.
  • Examine legal documents for adherence to regulations.
  • Organize case files and manage documentation.
  • Provide assistance regarding procedures and necessary forms.
  • Communicate effectively with witnesses, legal representatives, and involved parties.
  • Support judges and record the proceedings of the court.
  • Conduct data entry and oversee the maintenance of court records.
  • Document case outcomes and court directives.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with legal documentation and court protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Court Officials.
  • Competence in utilizing computer systems.
  • Clear and concise writing skills for legal documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Accurate mathematical calculations.

Special Considerations

  • Potential for evening, holiday, and weekend work.
  • Willingness to be available for 24-hour office shifts.
