Position Overview
As a Judicial Administrative Assistant, you will facilitate court functions under the guidance of a committed supervisor.
- Pay Grade: 41
- Compensation determined by Experience and Education
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years in office management, client relations, data entry, and various clerical tasks; AND
- High school diploma or GED; OR
- One (1) year of office support experience alongside one (1) year of college coursework.
- DOCUMENTATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare schedules or calendars of cases.
- Examine legal documents for adherence to regulations.
- Organize case files and manage documentation.
- Provide assistance regarding procedures and necessary forms.
- Communicate effectively with witnesses, attorneys, and litigants.
- Support judges and record court activities.
- Conduct data entry and maintain court documentation.
- Document case outcomes and court directives.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with legal documentation and court processes.
- Excellent record-keeping and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Court Officials.
- Proficient in personal computer usage.
- Clear and accurate writing skills for legal documentation.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Competence in precise numerical calculations.
Special Considerations
- Potential for evening, holiday, and weekend work.
- Availability for 24-hour office shifts.
