Position Overview: Court Clerk
We are looking for a committed individual to fill the role of Court Clerk. In this capacity, you will operate under direct supervision to execute clerical tasks associated with court operations within designated courts. This role is classified under Pay Grade 41, with compensation determined by your qualifications and experience.
- Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative functions, bookkeeping, client relations, data management, or other clerical responsibilities; AND
- A high school diploma or GED; OR
- One (1) year of experience in administrative functions, bookkeeping, client relations, data management, or other clerical responsibilities, complemented by one (1) year of college coursework.
- Verification of education, training, and experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile docket or calendar of cases for the assigned courtroom.
- Review legal documents for compliance with court protocols.
- Organize court case files, file documents, and clarify procedures to involved parties.
- Provide necessary information to state and county agencies as required.
- Document court proceedings, case outcomes, and judicial orders.
- Input court data into the electronic system.
- Administer oaths and assist judicial officials and participants.
- Carry out other related tasks as directed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with legal documents issued by the court.
- Capability to maintain accurate records and files.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing a personal computer.
- Ability to compose clear written content on legal documents.
- Perform precise mathematical calculations.
Important Note:
This position necessitates a background check concerning relevant convictions related to job responsibilities. Only convictions that are significantly connected to job duties will be taken into account.
