Job Summary:
This role involves performing moderately complex analytical, technical, and administrative tasks related to the planning, design, and implementation of both new and existing computer systems. The position entails providing daily consultation, guidance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for users regarding hardware, software, networks, and associated computer systems and devices. The individual will evaluate, review, and enforce organizational standards for computer hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and ensure the optimal performance of all end-user hardware and software, peripheral devices, and mobile technology according to established standards.
- Monitor and respond to Service Center support requests while delivering training to users on equipment and software.
- Engage with clients to diagnose and resolve simple to moderately complex issues, apply solutions, and assist in identifying necessary hardware and software to fulfill business requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of end-user hardware, software, and related devices with various systems such as file servers, email servers, conferencing systems, and application servers.
- Create, execute, and troubleshoot simple to moderately complex scripts, batch files, or installation processes.
- Conduct moderately complex troubleshooting across multiple technology platforms.
- Collaborate with technical staff and clients to identify and resolve issues under the guidance of a technical lead.
- Review licensing concerns and perform software and hardware audits throughout the organization, providing compliance reports and assessments.
Experience Requirements:
- Works under the close supervision of the Systems Support Supervisor.
- Performance is evaluated through observations, discussions, reports, and achievement of desired outcomes.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and utilize typical office equipment.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Vision to read printed materials and computer screens, and auditory and verbal skills for effective communication.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of experience in the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, or mobile devices, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Microsoft certifications or A+ certifications.
- Familiarity with data networking, both wired and wireless, and experience with computer diagnostic tools.
Work Schedule:
- 8 AM to 5 PM EST
- On-call support may be required 24/7.
