Opportunity Overview:

The Construction Account Executive will collaborate with agents and brokers to deliver tailored coverage for both new and renewal business, aligning with client requirements.

This position serves as a vital technical resource. As an Account Executive, you will demonstrate decisiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally to achieve desired outcomes.

Your capacity to independently evaluate intricate risks and effectively market our offerings in competitive environments will play a crucial role in the profitability and success of Wells Media Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the profitability, growth, and retention of a designated portfolio.
  • Underwrite and adeptly negotiate complex client accounts to mitigate risk while enhancing profitability.
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization to formulate sales strategies and pinpoint cross-selling opportunities.
  • Engage with external partners by conducting regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers to promote and sell Wells Media Group's products, aiming to secure and retain accounts that align with our risk profile.
  • Travel to meet with partners as necessary.
  • Identify and seize new business prospects through consultative marketing and sales techniques.
  • Independently create and implement agency sales strategies while frequently collaborating with your Managing Director to develop regional or group sales initiatives.
  • May assist in the training and development of junior Account Executives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six to eight years of pertinent underwriting experience, particularly in construction loss sensitive.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction loss sensitive products, regulatory frameworks, and the local insurance landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to proactively recognize underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and assess available data to make informed decisions in line with our risk appetite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of negotiating effectively in challenging scenarios with agents and brokers.
  • CPCU designation.
Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of underwriting experience.
