Senior Construction Project Coordinator

Overview:
The Senior Construction Project Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive oversight, organization, and implementation of construction initiatives. This position guarantees that projects are finalized within the designated timeline, budgetary constraints, and quality benchmarks. The Coordinator will collaborate extensively with clients, contractors, and various stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Organization and Management:
Formulate and oversee intricate project plans, encompassing timelines, financial allocations, and resource distribution.
Liaise with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Secure essential permits and approvals for construction undertakings.

Financial Oversight:
Develop and supervise project financial plans, ensuring cost efficiency and meticulous tracking of expenditures.
Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Assess and report on the financial health of the project, addressing any cost deviations and savings opportunities.

Team Leadership:
Guide and manage project team members, including subcontractors and laborers.
Foster effective communication and teamwork among all personnel.
Conduct regular meetings to evaluate progress and resolve any challenges.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
Guarantee that all construction operations adhere to industry standards, building regulations, and safety protocols.
Perform routine site inspections to assess work quality and compliance with project plans.
Implement and uphold safety measures to safeguard workers and the public.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the main liaison for clients, providing updates on project developments and addressing any inquiries.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Address any project-related challenges or disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain precise and current project documentation, including contracts, amendments, and progress reports.
Prepare and deliver regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure all project records are systematically archived for future reference.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of X years in construction project coordination, demonstrating a successful track record of project execution.

Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM)) are preferred.

Work Environment:

Setting:
Primarily office-based with frequent site inspections.

Physical Demands:
Capability to navigate construction sites and perform occasional physical tasks.
