We are seeking a skilled and proactive Landscape Construction Project Supervisor to enhance our esteemed organization. The Supervisor will engage with clients, suppliers, and departmental leaders to oversee and manage construction activities on both commercial and residential landscaping projects.

Ideal candidates will possess the ability to handle budgets, landscaping designs, and provide training while supervising the installation team. We are in search of an individual with extensive experience in multi-zone commercial and residential irrigation systems. Proficiency in utilizing our digital tools to ensure seamless project execution, optimizing every aspect of landscaping, is essential. A positive demeanor and a sense of humor are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize budgets and landscape designs to plan, construct, and layout multi-zone commercial and residential irrigation systems based on meter specifications, pressure, and flow rates (GPM).
  • Oversee the installation of hardscapes, retaining walls, landscape lighting, and plant installations.
  • Recruit, train, manage performance, and lead on-site construction teams of three to six individuals, embodying our core values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer Focus, Expertise, Agility, and Resilience.
  • Coordinate work schedules and procure necessary labor, subcontractors, and materials for project completion, adjusting these needs as projects progress.
  • Interpret project contracts and all related documentation within a project file.
  • Understand and interpret landscape plan drawings, specifications, and details.
  • Comprehend project specifics related to site safety, security, office locations, and staging areas for equipment and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to prioritize and adapt work based on changing client demands.
  • Conduct daily and weekly work and safety meetings, utilizing typed notes, guides, and attendance records.
  • Employ the Aspire workflow management system to track crew time and labor for payroll and job costing.
  • Review project budgets against actual costs using the Aspire system, meeting with finance and operations leaders to discuss invoicing and cost trends.
  • Embody PLM values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer Focus, Expertise, Agility, and Resilience to foster positive relationships with all team members, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors involved in PLM projects.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience as a Project Supervisor in the landscape construction or irrigation installation sector.
  • Proven experience in designing, constructing, and laying out multi-zone commercial and residential irrigation systems based on landscape plans, budgets, meter sizes, pressures, and flows (GPM).
  • Competency in an Office 365 environment, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify common Pacific Northwest plants and trees, along with their diseases, pest issues, water needs, and pruning methods.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and current insurance, with the ability to pass a background check.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain one within two months of hire.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a crucial function of this role.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate job sites with uneven surfaces and obstacles.
  • Demonstrate proper lifting and carrying techniques for heavy materials.
  • Ability to recognize and identify terrain and construction activities from various distances.
  • Exhibit proper material handling techniques using body mechanics to position and install construction materials.
  • Capable of working at a desk or computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use a computer, distinguish colors, and differentiate between products.
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and hours that may extend beyond standard schedules.
