Position Overview

The Local Engagement Marketing Specialist serves as a vital link between our brand and the community, collaborating with popular local attractions such as shopping centers and amusement parks. This role involves attending events like trade shows, festivals, and conferences to act as a brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations. Engaging in direct conversations with potential customers, you will share insights about the vacation club experience and encourage attendance at our acclaimed vacation ownership presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a professional and enthusiastic representative of Wyndham Destinations.
  • Welcome and engage prospective customers, inviting them to participate in a sales-preview tour.
  • Assess and qualify potential customers in line with company standards.
  • Schedule sales-tour appointments and manage necessary deposits.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Welcome and engage potential customers to attend a sales presentation while adhering to all company policies and performance standards (80% of the time).
  • Participate in all required training sessions and departmental meetings, staying updated on marketing materials and industry trends, while setting and reviewing performance goals regularly (20%).
Travel Requirements

No travel is required beyond the local area.

Qualifications

While sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must meet production standards.

Education
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Training
  • No specific training is required.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Technical Proficiency
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, and general computer and smart device usage.
Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales and/or marketing is preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
