Overview:

This pivotal role in Sales Strategy and Planning will bolster the organization's initiatives to gather, scrutinize, and interpret data, delivering actionable insights to various teams and retail partners, with a particular emphasis on our collaboration with Target.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Target Regional Sales Manager to implement and support sales strategies aimed at fostering long-term growth and enhancing the robust partnership with Target.

The Market Insights Analyst will be tasked with overseeing all business functions related to Target, including routine reporting, inventory oversight, and promotional evaluations.

Moreover, this position will assist the Senior Manager of Category & Shopper Insights with special projects that align with overall company goals, utilizing diverse data sources to craft compelling narratives that inform business decisions for both internal stakeholders and external partners.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Track sales performance indicators and KPIs for Target, delivering regular reports and analyses to assess performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Strengthen Traditional Medicinals' rapport with Target, positioning the company as a category-first thought leader by aiding in the preparation of line reviews, innovation discussions, inventory assessments, and other significant meetings.
  • Support the preparation of line reviews, innovation discussions, inventory assessments, and other significant meetings to enhance Traditional Medicinals' partnership with Target.
  • Manage purchase orders in collaboration with Traditional Medicinals' customer service and EDI teams, communicating updates to Target's inventory analyst.
  • Work alongside demand planning and supply chain teams to ensure accurate ongoing forecasts.
  • Maintain precise records regarding program agreements, pricing, deductions, product details, order statuses, planning challenges, and vendor setups.
  • Provide weekly analytics on sell-through rates and performance updates to optimize business outcomes.
  • Actively engage in the post-promotion analysis process to evaluate and enhance the ROI and effectiveness of trade and shopper promotions.
  • Collaborate with TM's 3PL partner for item listings and review online performance of the e-commerce business.
  • Create and present data-driven narratives with actionable recommendations that foster overall category growth through well-structured charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Objectively analyze category and shopper data from various sources to derive insights for ad-hoc requests and company initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, retail, or category management.
  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with Target and the Partners Online Portal.
  • A college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in data mining and storytelling, with the ability to interpret and translate data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
  • Experience in customer-facing sales, analytics, or sales support roles.
  • Strong attention to detail, results-oriented, and a high sense of urgency.
  • Solid understanding of various data sources, including SPINS, Nielsen, Circana, shopper loyalty card data, and Target Partners Online.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerBI.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Environment:

The employee will operate in a busy administrative office environment with moderate noise levels, as well as visiting other offices, warehouses, production settings, and external partner locations.


Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is between $87,100 and $108,900, determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including training, experience, education, geographic location, and market data.
