Job Overview

SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Analyst position plays a crucial role in supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting functions. This role involves executing a range of financial tasks such as reporting, analytical assessments, and the development of financial models. The analyst will provide insights and interpretations of financial data through automated systems and tools, collaborating with colleagues and business partners to foster growth in alignment with company objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare the monthly financial package, encompassing all financial statements, bank covenant statements, investor reports, variance analyses, and margin assessments.
  • Assist the FP&A team by compiling and delivering pertinent information and financial analyses for external disclosures, board meetings, and management reports, including trend analyses and forecasting.
  • Review and analyze enhanced management reports, dashboards, and KPIs to elevate business partner understanding and financial literacy, while developing new reporting tools under the guidance of the FP&A Operations & Supply Chain Manager.
  • Contribute to the creation of 3-year operating plans, annual budgets, and forecast updates.
  • Conduct independent analyses using established models to support decision-making and identify opportunities for enhancement and automation.
  • Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders within and outside the finance department.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in financial systems, particularly Workday Adaptive, focusing on planning and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Controller, and IT teams to develop and maintain financial tools and reporting systems, aiming to be the finance systems expert.
  • Conduct economic research and analysis as required.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial information systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with areas such as FP&A, accounting, and tax is preferred.

  • Proficient in reviewing, preparing, and analyzing financial and statistical reports.
  • Adept at identifying financial performance trends and explaining variances.
  • Capable of analyzing and synthesizing various types of information for effective business impact.
  • Skilled in developing detailed and automated financial models.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Well-developed planning, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to build partnerships and influence decisions collaboratively.
  • Innovative in implementing tools to enhance analytics for better business decisions.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Familiarity with financial planning and management reporting systems such as Hyperion, Cognos, and Adaptive; experience with Workday Adaptive is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting and ERP systems like Dynamics AX.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, with advanced Excel skills preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for conferences or company-related purposes.

Compensation range is $79,200 - $103,950
