About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Analytics Intern to join our Web Analytics team at Yamaha Corporation of America. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing performance across our digital platforms, helping shape our marketing strategies, and enhancing customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the analysis of website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Develop reports and dashboards on digital campaign performance, website usage, and customer engagement.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data collection, tagging, analysis, and visualization practices.
  • Work on A/B testing and other experiments to optimize user experience and increase conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with Development and other cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Requirements
  • Must be a junior or senior from an accredited university OR have graduated within a year with a degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Music Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Communications, or a combination thereof.
  • Must be able to work full time (M-F 8:30-5) during internship.
  • Experience with site analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for music and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience presenting information to key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channel tactics (e.g. CRM, SEO, CPC, Social) and measurement.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tool.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager or similar tag management solution.
  • Knowledge of RegEx, JavaScript, SQL, or HTML (Elements/CSS/DataLayer).
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) tools.
  • Social media marketing and/or advertising experience.
  • Appreciation of music and sound.
