Role Overview:

The Financial Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating and interpreting various credit data to assist in lending decisions and processes for the bank. This position is dedicated to fostering a client-centric environment that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make informed credit decisions and recommendations in line with established credit-granting principles and compliance with Bank Policies & Procedures.
  • Act with urgency, efficiency, and independence, ensuring client satisfaction is prioritized.
  • Engage in targeted outreach and manage pipelines effectively.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to assigned business units on the implementation of financial solutions.
  • Analyze complex problems, leveraging data to offer insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client capital and credit risk.
  • Deliver precise financial evaluations and risk assessments for both new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate and detailed client information.
  • Develop credit assessments to facilitate lending decisions regarding new, renewal, and extension loans.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions through direct communication with clients.
  • Prepare summaries and present findings regarding creditworthiness.
  • Mitigate risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures during lending decisions.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of operational programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Focus may be directed towards specific business units or groups.
  • Innovate and propose creative solutions to enhance processes.
  • Utilize sound judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within established guidelines.
  • Work autonomously while being open to broader responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience along with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in Commercial Loan and Credit analysis is essential.
  • Possess in-depth functional knowledge and a broad understanding of business operations.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and exceptional quantitative analysis skills.
  • Exhibit highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet tools.
  • Possess strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of risk management principles.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt swiftly to new challenges.
  • Excellent ability to independently manage and proactively service multiple clients.
  • Possess specialized knowledge gained through education and/or professional experience.
  • Demonstrate in-depth verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $52,000 and $98,400.00, with the pay type being salaried. The compensation package may vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. It may also include performance-based incentives and discretionary bonuses, along with additional benefits.
