Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Department: Finance

FLSA Status: Exempt Supervisory Role: Yes

ROLE SUMMARY: Under the general guidance of the CEO, this position is accountable for overseeing, directing, and executing all financial and accounting operations for Arizona Regional Multip and its associated entities. This role includes coordinating the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, safeguarding financial assets, and managing insurance policies. The Finance Manager will engage directly with the CEO, other executive officers, financial institutions, and external audit firms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Finance department, providing oversight and mentorship to team members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments based on individual contributions.
  • Maintain and manage all financial records, ensuring accurate reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding the organization’s financial health.
  • Protect and manage company assets and investments in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organizational policies.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports through reconciliation, internal controls, and comprehensive analysis of financial status.
  • Ensure the financial accounting system integrates effectively with subscription data while maintaining necessary security and privacy measures.
  • Collaborate on the development and enhancement of software solutions to meet accounting compliance requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for non-benefit related insurance providers and programs.
  • Prepare and submit various government reports, tax returns, and corporate filings.
  • Oversee the processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices, including special contract invoices and collection efforts.
  • Coordinate with external Certified Public Accounting firms on financial audits, process audits, and preparation of annual tax returns.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets for all entities.
  • Work closely with executive officers to ensure corporate objectives are met and organizational strategies are effectively implemented and updated.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting and the creation of operating and capital budgets.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Exceptional customer service and support abilities.
  • Capability to effectively manage a team of finance and accounting professionals.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA or CMA certification.
